Hannah Kwon has likewise cultivated a strong musical foundation. Surrounded by the arts from a young age, she first explored cello and choral music before dedicating herself fully to piano. In 2025, she was awarded both Silver and Bronze Medals at the International French Music Piano Competition and Silver Medal at the 2025 Chopin Northwest Competition. She also performs viola in her school’s string orchestra and is a member of the volleyball team. Outside of music, she pursues her love of visual art and athletics with equal passion.
Isabel Yang was the First Prize Winner of the 2024 Oxford Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2023 as Second Prize Winner of the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, returning the following year as a winner of the American Virtuoso International Music Competition. In 2024, Isabel was a multi-prizewinner at the UK International Music Competition, receiving the Young Artist First Prize, Classical Absolute First Prize, and the Expressive Performance Special Prize. Her additional honors include Gold Medals at the 2025 Chopin Northwest Competition, the 2025 Pacific International Piano Competition, the 2024 Russian Chamber Music Competition, and the Seattle International Piano Festival Classical Viennese Division. She also won the WSMTA Chapter and Regional Competition, earning an invitation to perform at the 2024 Washington State Convention Recitals. Beyond her solo achievements, she is an accomplished collaborative musician, performing as pianist for her school orchestra and with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra at Benaroya Hall and Meany Hall. Isabel was recently awarded the Grand Prize at the NOCCO Concerto Competition and will be performing the Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor in March. A versatile young artist, Isabel also plays violin and enjoys figure skating, dance, golf, and volleyball.
Best friends since early childhood, Isabel Yang and Hannah Kwon, both age 15, have grown together as musicians, developing into accomplished pianists whose artistry, dedication, and teamwork have earned them recognition both as soloists and as a piano duo. Together, Isabel and Hannah have flourished as a duet team, winning Gold Medals at the 2025 Sonafest and the 2025 Pacific International Piano Competition, as well as Silver Medals at the 2025 International German Music Piano Competition. Both pianists are Elite Scholarship students of Mr. Allan Park.
