Gary Anderson Gary Anderson, who has played the violin for more than 30 years, is a graduate of Washington State University, University of Puget Sound and Western Washington University with degrees in Music Performance, Music Education and Computer Science. Mr. Anderson taught Instructional Music in the public schools for 6 years, and has also founded and directed community orchestras. He is currently Concertmaster of the Microsoft Symphony Orchestra and the Eastside Symphony. Clint Gawthrop Originally from Detroit, Clint Gawthrop studied under Carol Petty and then Mischa Kottler. Mr. Kottler was in turn taught by Emil von Sauer and Sergei Rachmaninoff. Clint has soloed with the Troy High School Orchestra and has played a reception for the Dresden-Staatskapelle Orchestra under Andre Previn. In 1997, Clint played Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with Eastside Symphony. When time between students permits, he plays for several choirs and ballets, along with a few weddings and other special occasions. Clint's latest project has been composing a number of pieces, from which he hopes eventually to make a CD. Linda Vogt Linda attended Seattle Pacific University after studying violin under the renowned violinist and teacher, Emanuel Zetlin. She was a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony for several seasons and during that time, won first place for outstanding performance in an eastside violin contest. Linda also studied voice in college after finding herself drawn to contemporary music. She embarked on a professional singing and violin career for 7 years in local nightclubs. During that time, she experimented with Jazz, country and rock improvisation and played with a variety of electric violin sounds. She also won several local fiddle contests. She returned to her classical roots with vigor and now, in addition to the Eastside Symphony, Linda also plays with the Rainier Symphony and with several chamber groups. She continues to sing and recently, was the featured vocal soloist with the Rainier Symphony. |
