Preston J. Howard, Jr.

Our Trumpet Soloist, Preston Howard was born in Seattle.  He has performed and instructed with the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps in Concord, California.  He has also performed with the Contra Costa Musical Theater, the Seattle Civic Light Opera Company and the University of Nevada Las Vegas wind ensemble.  Mr. Howard is currently principal trumpet with Eastside Symphony and the Microsoft Brass Quintet.

 Colleen Young

Colleen Young is from Honolulu, Hawaii when she performed  as featured soloist with the Honolulu Symphony.   She has won prizes in several competitions, including the Morning Music Club Award and the Music Teachers' National Association.  She received her BA from the University of Oregon and is presently working on a Master's Degree at the University of Washington, where she studies with Holly Herrmann.
