Jessica, Kristy, Daryl and Evan have been playing music together for a long while. The four of them have been studying privately with Dr. Cynthia Morrow at the Violin and Viola Studio of Kirkland for several years. They have all been members of the Cascade Youth Symphony’s top orchestra for the past two and a half years, and are part of a double string quartet, known as "Zing!" where Jessica and Kristy play violin. Only in the past year, however, did they become a close-knit group of friends outside of their music, with the help of their trademarked "Viola Parties."

Jessica Jasper, a senior at Shorecrest High School, is fairly new to viola. She originally began on violin in fifth grade, but made the switch in June of 2005. She has participated in both the Bellevue and Cascade Youth Symphonies, as well as the Shorecrest Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras. She has also recently been accepted into the All-Northwest Orchestra. Jessica plans on pursuing a viola performance major after high school.

Kristy Forgrave is a junior at Lake Washington High school and has played the viola for 5-1/2 years. She was a member of the 2006 All-State Orchestra, participated in the 2006 State Solo/Ensemble Festival and has been selected for the 2007 All-Northwest Orchestra.  In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, scuba diving, watching movies, writing and drawing. She also volunteers at the Pacific Science Center where she presents and explains exhibits to visitors. Kristy does not know where she will attend college but is considering a major in biology.

Daryl Harshbarger is a senior at Lake Washington High School, and she plans to major in Music Education and Teaching English as a Second Language, possibly at Houghton College in New York. She has been playing viola for 8 years, and she is actively involved in church, enjoys horseback riding, reading and going on mission trips.

Currently a junior at Juanita High School, Evan Uebelacker is 16 and has played viola in his school orchestra since 4th grade. Recently, Evan was selected as a participant in the upcoming 2007 MENC All-Northwest Orchestra. During the summer of 2005, he was a member of the Cascade Youth Symphony Touring Orchestra for its European Concert Tour. Evan also plays trombone in his school symphonic, jazz and pep bands and is a trombone student of Cathy Cole. In his free time, Evan loves to fish, play soccer, and play his electric and acoustic guitars. He plans to study viola performance in college.
