Linda attended Seattle Pacific University after studying violin under the renowned violinist and teacher, Emanuel Zetlin. She was a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony for several seasons and during that time, won first place for outstanding performance in an eastside violin contest. Linda also studied voice in college after finding herself drawn to contemporary music. She embarked on a professional singing and violin career for 7 years in local nightclubs. During that time, she experimented with Jazz, country and rock improvisation and played with a variety of electric violin sounds. She also won several local fiddle contests. She has returned to her classical roots with vigor, and is currently concertmaster of the Eastside Symphony, and a violinist with Philharmonia NW. Linda also plays and performs with several chamber groups and teaches private lessons. Recently, Linda was the featured vocal soloist with the Rainier Symphony, and featured violin soloist with the Eastside Symphony. When she’s not playing violin, you can find Linda singing and performing with her A Cappella group called Fretless. |
