Jocelyn Chang was born in Renton, Washington, where she
currently attends Kentridge High School as a junior. She began studying
violin at the age of five and is presently a student of Leonid Keylin.
Jocelyn has also been active with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras
since 1997. In 2005, she won the Port Gardner Bay Competition, and performed
as soloist; the next year, she was named the 9th-Grade Winner of the WSMTA
Eastside Chapter Piano Scholarship Competition. In the following year, Chang
became the second recipient of Music of Remembrances's 2006 David Tonkonogui
Award. She is also studying piano with Victoria Bogdashevskaya and has been
playing for about eleven years. |
