Elena Romanoff began playing piano at the age 4½. By
the time she was 9 she gave her first piano recital in Kaliningrad, Russia.
Her studies continued in St. Petersburg, where she first graduated from
Musical College, and then from Conservatory with her Master's in 1989. Ms.
Romanoff came to United States in 1993, to New York at the age of 27. In
Seattle, Ms. Romanoff maintains an active professional life as a performer
and teacher. She has appeared on the Classical Radio Station and did a CD
recording last year with Barry Lieberman, UW professor, whom she
accompanied. She often accompanies on competitions and recitals, plays with
visiting musicians, as well as solo. She currently lives in Kirkland with
her son Ilya 11, where she teaches piano. |
