Devon is a 15 year old sophomore at St. Lucy’s High School in Glendora, CA and is a student of Elisabeth Howard of Vocal Power Academy in Los Angeles, CA. Devon first sang on the stage at age 6 in a summer workshop at The Grove in Upland, CA. At the summer 2001 Southwestern Youth Music Festival Devon placed 1st in the American composer category, 1st in Open, and 2nd in Baroque. Last fall, she won the Classical vocal division of the Aliso Viejo Symphony’s Young Stars of the Future Competition and appeared with the orchestra in February, 2001. Devon was also a semi-finalists in the Classical voice division of the LA Music Center 2001 Spotlight Awards. In May 2001, Devon won 1st place in the British Arts Awards in London, England.

Devon has an active recital and concert schedule performing as soloist with such orchestras as the South Coast Symphony and the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra under the direction of Ian Fraser and David Foster.

Devon performs in her own music outreach program, taking music to elementary school children. Additionally, she has played roles in many musicals and her favorites are the role of Mary in the “Glory of Christmas” at the Crystal Cathedral, Mary Lennox in the “Secret Garden”, the Youngest Daughter in “Quilters”. Most recently, Devon has prepared a Baroque repertoire for soprano and trumpet and is training for the 2002 Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards.
